Steve is a born entrepreneur.  He is ALWAYS looking for a better process, the best products and ideal people to join his team.

With over 30 years of construction experience, Steve has learned what to do and more importantly, what not to do, to have a successful construction business. His vast experience and knowledge in custom home building and major remodeling have allowed him to find his passion for creating great lower levels. In 2004, Basements Plus was formed with the intent to be the best company in the basement finishing industry.

When Steve isn’t researching on how to improve the company, you can find him looking up recipes for a great home cooked meal or how to grill the best steak in town. He loves to have his family over for Sunday dinners to share his culinary creations.

Amy married into the construction business, initially helping Steve with bookkeeping in the evenings and distributing flyers. As the business rapidly grew, she eventually left her job, and together they built a successful family business!

As one of the owners, Amy takes pride in watching the company grow over the years. With new team members and processes in place, she loves witnessing the growth and transformation from what it was 10 years ago. While she once wore many hats, her current focus is on bookkeeping, accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining the company’s branding. She also oversees marketing, HR, and overall business growth.

Amy enjoys that everyday is different. One day she is working on strategic marketing plans then payables/receivables. When she is not busy at the office Amy loves spending time outdoor paddle boarding, kayaking, and walking.

Even after all these years she still gets WOW’d by the the finished project.

As Marketing Manager & analytics guru, Tonia plays a key role in analyzing the company’s leads and developing compelling marketing campaigns. Tonia, a proud alumna of the University of Michigan, brings vibrant energy and a wealth of expertise in data insights to our workplace. Her passion for her work is matched only by her admiration for the people she collaborates with. As Tonia puts it, “I can’t wait to get to work and spend time with the best group of people. I love how everyone takes pride in every aspect of their jobs.”

When she’s not leading the marketing efforts, Tonia enjoys indulging in tech-savvy computer games, spending quality time with her three kids, exploring new restaurants, and cheering on the Detroit Lions. ????

As Marketing Assistant, Paige brings her expertise in both creativity and data-driven marketing, shaped by her internship at Silver Lake Sand Dunes and a Marketing degree from Central Michigan University. Certified in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Paige combines strategic insight with artistic flair, delivering a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to every project she tackles.

When Paige isn’t busy creating innovative marketing campaigns, she stays active outdoors by snowboarding, hiking, walking her dogs and spending time with friends & family.

As the videographer and photographer for Basements Plus, Erik is frequently capturing stunning before-and-after photos of homes and working with customers to host open houses that showcase their beautifully finished basements. You’ll see him on-site during and after your project, photographing the hard working crews & the finished spaces. Erik’s passion for photography began as a hobby while he spent over a decade working in the radio industry.

Outside of work, Erik is always planning his next big trip somewhere outside of the US or at a rock show in town. So, if you’re looking for cool travel ideas or a new band to listen to, he’s the one to ask!

As our Social Media Strategist, Avery is constantly finding creative and engaging ways to showcase Basements Plus. From creating videos of finished basement projects and waterproofing work to highlighting our crews on job sites, she keeps our social platforms lively and fun. Avery’s passion for social media first sparked when she managed the social platforms for a local donut shop during her university years attending Central Michigan University. She built on her early experience from high school, where she ran her dance studio’s Instagram account. Now, Avery is thrilled to leverage her skills to turn our social media presence into valuable leads.

Holding a BAA in Dance Studies and boasting 3 National Championship titles with the CMU dance team, Avery brings a distinctive perspective and vibrant energy to every post she creates. We look forward to the innovative and engaging content she will continue to deliver, enhancing our brand’s online presence.

Rachael brings over four years of experience in the construction industry. She currently works in the waterproofing department, handling many of the day-to-day tasks regarding waterproofing, crawl space, and foundation repair projects! Rachael will be your customer experience advocate, working on scheduling permits, inspections, end-of-project tasks, and service appointments.

In her free time, she loves to keep her kids busy, ride motorcycles, and is always looking to plan her next vacation!

Melissa, our Appointment Center Representative, is often the first person customers interact with when reaching out to our office, providing a friendly and welcoming experience from the very first call. With over 10 years of experience in customer service, Melissa is dedicated to creating exceptional first impressions for every customer. Her friendly demeanor and sharp eye for detail have earned her glowing five-star reviews from customers she’s spoken with. Outside of work, Melissa treasures spending quality time with her two daughters and family. She loves cheering at her daughter’s softball games—especially when there’s a home run—shopping with her girls, and relaxing at home with her animals.

As an Appointment Center Representative, David brings over a decade of experience in sales, administrative support, and customer service. He holds an associate degree in Performing Arts from Oakland Community College and has a deep appreciation for cinema and the arts in society. A dedicated film enthusiast, David has watched and reviewed over 1,500 movies with Ghost starring Patrick Swayze ranks among his all-time favorites.

Fluent in both English and Albanian, David enjoys connecting with his heritage through language, family, and community.

Outside of work, David is passionate about the outdoors and can often be found biking the scenic trails of Metro Detroit, including Kensington and Shiawassee Parks. He also enjoys writing suspenseful short stories that blend elements of mystery and thriller.

When she’s not at work, Elizabeth is likely on vacation or camping with her family, cheering on the Lions, or hosting and sharing meals made with fresh produce from her garden.

As our Accounting Assistant, Natalie brings over four years of bookkeeping experience from the restoration industry. She’s the behind-the-scenes rockstar who keeps the Basements Plus finance department running smoothly—whether she’s processing invoices, tracking expenses, or reconciling accounts, she ensures everything adds up. So far, her favorite part of working here is the culture and the people! “It’s such a welcoming environment, and there’s a genuine sense of camaraderie here. Always a positive atmosphere!”

Outside of work, Natalie loves snuggling up with her cat, Cosmo, and getting lost in sci-fi and fantasy novels. She always finds an excuse to bake and takes pride in caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants. Weekend farmers’ markets are a favorite tradition she shares with her sister—though she often comes home with more plants than planned!

Natalie recently moved back to Michigan, her home state, after spending five years on the West Coast between California and Oregon. While she loved the Pacific, she’s happy to be back in the Mitten, enjoying all four seasons again.

As Administrative Assistant, Chris brings a passion for excellence and a wealth of experience to Basements Plus. She helps coordinate all permit applications, inspections, and other essential responsibilities. Chris’ extensive background in office and warehouse coordination makes her a perfect fit for the job. While she may have the dubious honor of occupying the smallest office in the building, she accomplishes big things from there!

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with her young grandchildren, watching baseball with her close-knit group of neighborhood friends, and listening to country music. (Okay, she listens to country music while she works too!)

As Sales Administrator, Hailey brings over 2 years of sales experience and holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Schoolcraft College! She was drawn to Basements Plus by the strong sense of comradery and the opportunity to be part of a company whose work she can truly be proud of.

Outside of work, Hailey enjoys spending time with her family and partner, along with their six beloved pets. She’s also an avid hiker and loves unplugging in the outdoors or diving into her growing collection of board and card games.

Born and raised in Downriver, Michigan, Josh jumped straight into the trades after high school. With 18 years of experience in remodeling both residential and commercial buildings, he’s had the opportunity to work on exciting projects throughout his career, including remodeling a resort in Florida and preserving historical buildings in Detroit.

Josh has leveraged his construction experience and expertise to establish himself as one of Michigan’s leading foundation and water mitigation specialists. His goal is to always provide homeowners with the best solutions to protect their homes or businesses for the long term.

Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and their three friendly dogs. He also loves fishing for largemouth bass and attending sporting events.

As a Basement Specialist, Andrea is able to offer personalized solutions to help customers keep their basements dry & home foundations strong. With a commitment to home protection, Andrea tailors each solution to meet the unique needs of every homeowner, addressing potential issues at their source to provide peace of mind for buyers and sellers alike. Her dedication is further demonstrated by her training with Contractor Nation in Connecticut and her exceptional customer service skills honed during her time in the veterinary ER.

Andrea’s close bond with the Iverson family, especially her connection with Amy (her big sis), underscores her commitment to our team and mission.

Outside of work, Andrea finds balance through outdoor activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, and exploring nature. She also values time spent with her European Dobermanns, who often accompany her on these adventures. Her ideal weekend is a blend of engaging outdoor activities, meaningful time with loved ones, and the companionship of her dogs.

With extensive experience in selling finished basements, David excels at building strong relationships with customers. His in-depth understanding of basement construction and design allows him to guide clients through the process, ensuring they find the perfect solution for their needs.

When David is not in the office or meeting with homeowners, he can be found on the golf course or spending time with his family. He also enjoys riding his snowmobile and ATV at his Northern Michigan cottage.

Ransom is an experienced member of our sales team, serving as a Basement Specialist! He became interested in basement waterproofing and remodeling after witnessing a friend transform a musty, unusable space into a beautiful new area for his family using WaterGuard and SaniDry. Ransom has prepared basements for WaterGuard installations and gained extensive knowledge through intensive training sessions. One of his proudest achievements was ensuring the successful completion of a project, going the extra mile to exceed client expectations. He starts every day with an early morning walk with his dogs.

Outside of work, Ransom is a lifelong sailor, having raced small sailboats since the age of six. He is a graduate of South Kent School in Connecticut and Northeastern University in Boston. His favorite vacation was an 8-day getaway with 22 family members and friends at their Adirondack camp, where they enjoyed swimming, mountain climbing, sailing, kayaking, and visiting the Olympic Arena in Lake Placid.

Tom has a refined and extensive knowledge of our products and basement finishing services. He is one of our most approachable specialists with excellent customer service skills. He has been driven to excel in his field for many years and has the ability to prove it time and again.

He enjoys spending time with his grown children and traveling. He has climbed the Grand Teton and enjoys the leisurely game of golf. His Uncle’s commercial building company ignited his interest in construction, and his knowledge has grown ever since.

Craig has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on building, remodeling, and specializing in basement finishing and waterproofing. His extensive knowledge of home improvement is reflected in the high-quality work he provides.

Outside of work, Craig enjoys watching a good hockey game, fishing, and spending quality time with his family on the water. Known for his genuine, friendly demeanor, one of Craig’s favorite memories at a job site was being invited to a client’s tea party—because who doesn’t love a good cup of tea and a scone?

Colby began working for the family company at a young age, eager to learn as much as possible. He started on the waterproofing crew before stepping into his role as an expert Basement Specialist. This hands-on experience has given Colby the knowledge and insight to deliver the best possible solutions for customers facing foundation, flooding, and waterproofing issues. One of his favorite parts of his job is connecting with new people every day and hearing their stories, making his work at Basements Plus that more rewarding.

Outside of work, Colby enjoys staying active at the gym, cooking new recipes, and hanging out with friends, family, and their two dogs, Sully and Chopper. He also enjoys traveling in his free time, with one of his favorite trips being to Costa Rica.

As a Basement Specialist, Travis combines his knowledge of home remodeling, particularly in exterior projects, to provide homeowners with tailored solutions that address their specific needs. He holds a degree from Cleary University, where he played college baseball and still holds four program records. Travis values the supportive, welcoming environment at Basements Plus and looks forward to connecting with new people every day. With a strong commitment to helping homeowners, he offers effective waterproofing solutions that ease the concerns of water damage and basement issues, giving them peace of mind and a dry, worry-free space.

Outside of work, Travis enjoys spending time outdoors and golfing on warm summer days. He is also a proud dog owner and enjoy taking his dog, Blitz, on walks and adventures. Another passion of his is collecting sports cards—a hobby he rekindled from his childhood.

As one of our skilled Basement Specialists, Kyle brings extensive construction knowledge from his experience working alongside his uncle in the industry. He advanced through roles as a Foreman and Service Technician before joining Basements Plus, where his expertise, skills, and insight allow him to provide customers with tailored solutions for their waterproofing needs, ensuring their basements stay dry and free of water damage. His dedication makes him a valuable asset to our team.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending weekends on the lake with close friends and family, savoring a freshly cooked meal, and playing a competitive game of cornhole on a warm summer day.

As an expert Basement Specialist, Joe brings a strong background in sales and customer service, complemented by his experience in kitchen design and appliance specification from his time at a design center. Joe joined Basements Plus with a passion for learning everything there is to know about basements and a desire to work for a company that values integrity, quality, and putting customers first. He takes pride in helping clients understand the fundamentals of basement construction and design, ensuring every project is tailored to their vision. When he’s not designing basements or meeting with clients, Joe enjoys fly-casting for trout in the rivers of Northern Michigan. He started his career installing, servicing, and inspecting waterproofing systems, giving him a deep understanding of the most effective solutions for keeping homes dry. Jeremy’s expertise and dedication make him a valuable asset to our team. He is drawn to our company’s strong values, team-oriented culture, and family atmosphere, and he takes pride in being part of a company that prioritizes quality work and customer satisfaction.

As a Basement Specialist, Kevin is passionate about helping homeowners enhance their living spaces & create their dream basements while delivering an unmatched customer experience. In 2020, after moving from a career in exterior remodeling, he began specializing in basement transformations in Ontario. This experience deepened his appreciation for making the most of the space in your home, as some of life’s most precious moments and significant time are spent there. Kevin loves being able to help customers transform their spaces in meaningful ways, just as he did for his own family.

Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his children, fishing, and flying recreational drones. He lives by the philosophy that taking a genuine interest in others leads to happiness and growth—one of the many reasons he loves his role as a Basement Specialist, where he gets to connect with new people every day!

Katie is renowned for her basement designs at Basements Plus. Her 20+ years of design experience allows her to overcome any hang-ups which may occur during the basement finishing process. Her credentials and knowledge of design and construction will instill comfort and confidence throughout every basement project detail. Katie takes the sold projects and develops the design & documentation needed for construction. She currently manages the Design Team, using her experience to help the team learn, grow, and problem-solve so that all of our customers have an excellent design experience with a top-notch team. She also has an energizing personality, which positively affects our processes and people.

Katie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a focus in Interior Design from Wayne State University and is a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer from the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association). Her thoroughness extends into every aspect of her life.

She has a thriving garden in the summertime, is an avid crafter, and enjoys spending time with her family and working on her many other ambitions.

As Project Developer, Miranda oversees the design team & contributes to process development. She finds the work both challenging and deeply rewarding. Her passion for art and design emerged early in life, and after high school, she began helping clients with interior aesthetic solutions as a custom picture frame designer and manufacturer.

In 2013, Miranda earned a degree in Interior Design and launched her own business. She ran a picture frame shop out of her home, sold handmade items on Etsy, & took on subcontracting work as a designer and drafter for a remodeling company. Several years later, Miranda expanded her career working for various local design and build companies as a CAD Manager, Architectural Drafter, and Residential Design Consultant. Miranda’s extensive experience in both interior and exterior design encompasses projects ranging from 20k to 1 million, each one carefully curated with her signature blend of creativity and expertise.

Outside of work, Miranda enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, her two sons, and their two rescue dogs, Bino and Moona!

Chelsea Foster, our Remodeling Specialist, has had a passion for merging functionality with design since her youth. After earning a fine art degree, Chelsea moved to Colorado to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in interior design. Her greatest inspiration comes from her clients; understanding their diverse lifestyles and personal styles is what drives her creativity. She thrives on transforming outdated spaces into vibrant, functional environments that align with the homeowner’s current needs and lifestyle.

Chelsea is particularly drawn to kitchen updates, bathroom remodels, and unique renovation projects because they offer a chance to exercise her creativity and explore new possibilities. She embraces challenges in both design and life, with one of her personal goals being to design and build her own “forever home.”

Outside of work, Chelsea stays busy redesigning her home, hiking, dancing, camping at Michigan’s scenic spots, and exploring new local restaurants!

As Project Developer, Yiwei combines creativity and expertise to support the design team. With an Interior Design degree from Michigan State University, she has a keen eye for detail and a strong design sensibility. Yiwei helps clients bring their vision to life, offering assistance with floor plans, 3D and 2D designs, and selecting interior layouts. She collaborates closely with homeowners to ensure their spaces are both stylish and functional, providing expert guidance to create personalized, meaningful designs.

Outside of work, Yiwei enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing with a good book. She has a passion for travel and dreams of exploring Europe and Japan to experience their unique cultures, history, and landscapes.

Grace is a talented Project Developer who has grown with the company, starting as a CAD Designer before transitioning to Design Assistant and now excelling in her current role. Known for her exceptional problem-solving skills and clear communication, Grace has a keen ability to navigate challenges and deliver results. Her expertise in space planning and her meticulous attention to detail help clients bring their dream spaces to life, no matter the obstacles. Grace’s dedication and creativity are instrumental in creating functional, beautiful spaces that perfectly suit our customers’ needs.

Outside of work, Grace enjoys listening to spooky podcasts, spending quality time at home with her family and pets, baking, and riding bikes. Her team appreciates her perfectly timed The Office references, her willingness to lend a hand whenever needed, and her reliability.

Meet Taylor Orr, one of our skilled Project Developers, who brings both expertise and dedication to every project. With a passion for design and years of experience across various aspects of the field, Taylor has developed a broad knowledge base to better assist our customers. Her keen attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning have helped her progress from a CAD Designer to a Project Developer. Taylor is excited to continue growing in her role and further support our customers in bringing their vision to life.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time outside with her husband and pets, reading, taking care of her garden, and meditating. She also enjoys keeping freshwater fish tanks that reflect local ecosystems. Her team values her open outlook on life, as well as her level-headedness and kindness!

As Project Developer, Sara is known for her exceptional organization and attention to detail, always taking the time to focus on the little things that make a big difference. She is a skilled communicator who thrives in collaborating with customers, team members, and tradespeople. Sara excels at helping customers bring their vision to life and ensuring every detail aligns with their expectations.

Outside of work, Sara’s adventurous spirit shines. She loves traveling as often and as far as possible, always seeking out new places to explore or trails to hike. As Project Developer Assistant, Jalayla brings expertise and vibrant energy to the design team. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts in Interior Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology, she combines her education with valuable experience from previous creative and customer service roles. Joining our CAD team, Jalayla is eager to expand her knowledge of residential design and remodeling.

Jalayla’s talent for space planning and her attention to detail ensure that her designs are not only visually stunning but also functional. Her work stands out when the sales team presents her 3D plans to prospective customers. She views home design as a deeply personal process and is committed to creating spaces that reflect each client’s unique needs and lifestyle.

Outside of work, Jalayla enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She’s passionate about gaming, writing, watching anime, crafting, and continuously learning new skills to fuel her creativity.

As the Interior Remodeling Developer Assistant, Lauren brings valuable experience in kitchen & bath design along with a passion for transforming basements into beautiful, functional spaces. Her positive energy is contagious, and she loves sharing in her clients’ excitement as their dream spaces come to life. Two years ago, Lauren and her wife moved back to Farmington, Michigan, from Farmington, Minnesota—a fun twist, given that it’s the same city name, just in a different state!

Outside of work, Lauren stays active by coaching the high school varsity lacrosse team in Royal Oak. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family and golden retriever, Tilley. In her downtime, Lauren loves refinishing old furniture, using her creativity and passion for design to give pieces a fresh, new life.

As the CAD department lead, Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and brings 3 years of cabinet design experience to our team. Her expertise helps create detailed basement plans that exceed our clients’ expectations.

With a father in the computer field, Karen also serves as our unofficial tech support, offering her skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Her broad experience in basement finishing allows her to contribute across various areas of the design department, ensuring every project runs smoothly.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs, Cortana and Lando, as well as reading or listening to music.

With a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Eastern Michigan and great attention to detail Sam is a great addition to our design team. Her embrace of “Do it Right or Do it Again” has made her a natural fit here at Basements Plus. She is passionate about not cutting corners and doing the necessary work to get the job done.

When Sam isn’t hard at work, you’ll find her redecorating a room with her cat, Maha, or enjoying video games and golf. She loves learning new skills and exploring new places, and she dreams of spending a vacation in the mountains someday.

As CAD Designer on our design team, Sarika has a passion for creativity and a keen eye for detail. She brings over 10 years of experience in both residential & commercial design. She’s a perfect fit for the team, dedicated to enhancing spaces to be not only visually stunning but also functional and tailored to their homeowner’s needs.

Sarika’s favorite part about working for Basements Plus is the unwavering commitment to innovative and transformative designs. She also appreciates our reputation for reliability and exceptional quality craftsmanship, all while maintaining a customer centric approach that ensures each project exceeds client expectations.

Outside of work, Sarika enjoys social gatherings, watching Sci-Fi Movies, creative painting on canvas’, and most importantly bedtime stories with her two little kids. Additionally, she loves exploring new cities, capturing street art through photography, and experimenting with sustainable materials in her personal projects.

As a CAD Designer on our team, Chelsea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minor in Art from Central Michigan University. Since joining Basements Plus, she has appreciated the supportive and friendly atmosphere, noting, “everyone is always so nice and willing to help if you have any questions.” Chelsea’s strong design skills and attention to detail make her an invaluable member of the team.

Outside of work, Chelsea enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, attending concerts, working on creative projects, and playing games with her family.

Steve is a great asset to every job.  He has been in construction for 20+ years and takes great pride in every finished basement we complete.  He is especially talented in finish carpentry and has the pictures to prove it.

Not only is Steve great at carpentry and completing the job. but he has a green thumb.  He loves to work in his yard on landscaping projects.  Our office plants even go home with him to spend some time “recovering” at his home when they are not doing so well.

Brian is a key piece of our production team as a Project Manager. He ensures the jobs are stocked with materials and ready for production. With a smile on his face, he diligently handles incoming and outgoing orders and deliveries. He keeps production running smoothly and efficiently with his organizational skills and efficient work ethic. One of Brian’s favorite parts about what he does is being able to see the transformation of the lower level from beginning to end!

Outside of the workplace, Brian loves spending time with his family Up North enjoying the outdoors and listening to country music. As an outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys visiting Northern parts of Michigan throughout the hunting season with his two dogs Cooper and Bubba Bear.

As a Project Manager, Dan leads projects from start to finish, ensuring every detail runs smoothly for both the crews and the homeowner. He keeps customers informed throughout the process, making sure they feel confident and educated every step of the way. Dan originally worked with us as part of a subcontracting team — and when the opportunity came to join Basements Plus directly, he didn’t hesitate. His deep construction knowledge and hands-on experience with homeowners make him a perfect fit for the role.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys camping with friends and family, road-tripping with his wife across the U.S., and playing hockey — a passion he’s pursued for over 20 years!

As a Project Manager, Brad ensures finishing and remodeling projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. He works closely with homeowners and our crews to create a smooth, stress-free process, keeping clients informed every step of the way to bring their dream home to life.

Outside of work, Brad enjoys quality time with his family and can often be found on the golf course, embracing the game’s challenges with the same dedication he brings to his projects.

As Project Manager, Dan—fondly known as “Dan the Donut Man” around the office—leads finishing & remodeling projects from start to finish. He handles planning, budgeting, and team coordination to ensure every job is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality. With a clear, hands-on communication style, Dan partners closely with homeowners to create a smooth, stress-free renovation experience that brings their vision to life.

Outside of work, Dan travels the country attending concerts and exploring a wide range of music genres and venues. What he enjoys most about Basements Plus is the supportive team atmosphere and the rewarding feedback from happy customers.

Chris has been a valued member of the Basements Plus team for nearly 7 years. During that time, he has grown alongside the company—learning hands-on, adapting to new challenges, & witnessing its evolution from a smaller office in Wixom in 2020 to the expansive warehouse facility we now operate in (and are already close to outgrowing). His dedication & attention to detail have made him an integral part of keeping daily operations running smoothly.

As Logistics Manager, Chris is known for his commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. He takes pride in creating raving fans—not only by ensuring homeowners’ properties are left in top shape, but also by leading & inspiring his crews to uphold the same high standards. His work ethic and leadership make him someone the team looks up to and relies on.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Emily, & their two children, Annabelle (5) and their newborn Jasper. He’s committed to making every day count, whether he’s with family or connecting with coworkers through video games. One of his favorite traditions is the family’s annual trip to Platte Lake, a special place where he can reset and recharge.

Jake brings a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and hands-on experience to the Logistics team. With a background in both carpentry & shipping and handling, he’s well-equipped to support job sites efficiently and effectively. Jake enjoys being part of a hardworking crew and looks forward to growing within the company as he continues to contribute to each project’s success.

When he’s off the clock, you’ll likely find Jake on two wheels. As a semi-professional stunt rider, he travels across Michigan performing in shows—and whenever he’s not performing, he’s probably out enjoying the open road on his Harley. For Jake, the louder the engine, the better the day.

Jakob plays a vital role on our logistics team, where he is responsible for coordinating material deliveries and supporting demolition efforts to ensure projects run smoothly. With a strong focus on preparation and organization, Jakob makes sure job sites are fully stocked with the necessary materials and keeps workspaces clean and organized from start to finish. His attention to detail and dedication to efficiency help prevent delays and allow our team to stay on track throughout each project.

Jakob’s commitment to maintaining high standards and supporting the team contributes directly to the seamless operations and exceptional service that Basements Plus is known for.

Parker is an integral part of our logistics team! Working closely with the other team members, Parker ensures that materials are delivered to job sites on time, assists with demo work, and oversees the removal of materials to keep the workspaces organized and safe. His commitment to detail helps ensure that each project is completed efficiently and left clean for our clients’ satisfaction.

Outside of work, Parker enjoys bowling, gaming, and taking time to recharge with a good rest. His balanced approach to work and relaxation makes him a valuable asset to our team.

Robert joins Basements Plus with over 8 years of experience in warehouse operations, bringing valuable expertise and a great attitude to our team. Known for his friendly demeanor, Robert is always a welcoming presence in the warehouse.

When he’s not at work, Robert enjoys cheering on the Detroit Lions, spending quality time with his family, and competing with friends in Madden.

Brendan plays a vital role on our logistics team, offering valuable support across a variety of projects that contribute to our overall success.

Outside of work, Brendan enjoys spending time with his Old English Bulldog, Sully. He also loves traveling, particularly heading up north to hunt and fish. In the future, he hopes to visit India, China, and Japan.

Tom serves as our Lead Framer, collaborating closely with our Developers and Project Managers to bring our customers’ visions to life. His hard work lays the foundation for the rest of construction.

Tom’s ideal day would involve a cookout in the yard with his family. He takes pride in his cooking skills, particularly his barbecuing prowess, but he also excels at making delicious stuffed peppers. Despite his culinary talents, his favorite dish remains his wife’s mole, a famous Mexican dish.

Jarren is a true team player that wants to make sure the job always gets done correctly. He is eager to learn as much as he can about the different trades whenever he has the opportunity.

On his day off, Jarren enjoys spending time with his dog, Daisy, and his cat, Noodle.

As one of the skilled carpenters on our team, Joe Sr. brings over 30 years of remodeling experience, offering a wealth of expertise and valuable insight to our projects. We’re especially excited to have him join his son, Joe, who has been a dedicated member of our team for over five years.

Joe Sr. is eager to expand his skill set with our crew, particularly in metal framing, which presents a new challenge he’s looking forward to tackling. Outside of work, Joe enjoys spending time on the golf course and relaxing with his two beloved dogs, Maggie and Jack. We’re thrilled to have Joe Sr. on board as a carpenter and look forward to seeing the positive impact he’ll bring to our projects!

Hunter is a part of our Production team. As a Lead Carpenter, Hunter is excited to put his knowledge to work. He has attention to detail that he feels is one of his best qualities.

If Hunter isn’t working, he is either playing hockey, rugby or spending time relaxing at home. Fun facts about Hunter, has a twin brother and he dreams of going to Sicily and eating all the lasagna he can.

Matt is one of the talented carpenters on our awesome crew, and, in his own words, the best carpenter on the team. While we’ll let you be the judge of that, we’re certainly thrilled to have him on board!

With over 5 years working for Basements Plus, Matt plays a key role in remodeling homes, helping to transform spaces with skill and attention to detail. He takes great pride in seeing the finished product and loves witnessing the results of his hard work alongside his team.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys traveling to his cabin in Oscoda, where he rides dirt bikes & 4-wheelers whenever possible. He’s also eager to travel outside of the U.S. to explore new destinations—and, of course, enjoy some great steak and seafood along the way.

Jeremiah is one of the carpenters at Basements Plus! Among many other things, Jeremy helps create the stunning built-ins and cabinetry features you see in some of our after photos. You can also find him appearing in some of our social content on our Instagram and Facebook platforms.

In his free time, Jeremy likes to visit up north Michigan to fish and ride quads with his buddies. He is a drummer and guitarist, and he enjoys having time to play and practice. Looking forward, Jeremy wants to travel and enjoy a good steak around the world.

We are excited to introduce Scotty as one of the Carpenters on our team! Scotty turns all of the details and drawings into reality for our customers to enjoy their new spaces for years to come.

In his free time, Scotty prefers to be outside as often as possible. Whether this is fishing, hunting, or playing golf, he’s not picky. He does, however, wish to attend the Masters Tournament in his lifetime. He was proud to say that his son, Brody, and his daughter, Addison were his greatest accomplishments yet.

Mike brings over 20 years of hands-on experience to the team and is one of our longest-tenured employees. Known as a true jack-of-all-trades, he’s been a steady presence through the company’s growth and evolution. With strong ties to Steve and Amy through years of friendship and collaboration, Mike continues to be a dependable and knowledgeable part of the crew.

When he’s off the clock, Mike makes the most of his well-earned PTO—especially when it comes to long, relaxing getaways. He’s a dedicated football fan (don’t challenge him in an NFL bracket), enjoys time with family, and is often found hanging with his Rottweiler, Jax. One day, he hopes to check Malta off his travel list and explore all the food the island has to offer.

David’s passion for painting began at 17, and with over 13 years of experience, he finds the process both therapeutic and rewarding. He loves capturing his projects on video, documenting the transformation from start to finish, and sharing the results on his business painting profiles and with our social media strategist. Since joining Basements Plus, he has been especially impressed by the company’s professionalism and organization, allowing him to focus on delivering high-quality work.

Outside of work, David enjoys quality time with his daughter, Payten, and staying active through kayaking, hiking, and basketball—often with his Jack Russell, Chico, by his side.

Kyle has been with Basements Plus since the age of 16. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Construction Management and recently passed his Licensed Builders exam. As a recent homeowner, he also understands the importance of quality craftsmanship, especially after finishing his own basement.

Beyond work, Kyle enjoys hockey, hunting, archery, jiu-jitsu, and fishing, embracing the outdoors whenever he can.

As a dedicated Waterproofing Foreman, AJ takes great pride in giving homeowners peace of mind by protecting their homes from basement flooding. Living in Michigan, where water issues and cracked foundations are a common concern, he’s committed to helping homeowners feel safe and secure within their homes.

What sets AJ apart is his commitment to educating customers. He doesn’t just get the job done—he walks homeowners throughout the project process, explaining what the team is doing, how they’re doing it, and why it matters. His honest, hands-on approach builds trust and ensures every homeowner feels confident and informed while working in their homes.

When he’s not on the job, AJ enjoys working on cars & going off-roading with friends. His ideal weekend involves quality time with his wife and daughters or escaping up north to the cabin for a peaceful change of scenery.

As a Waterproofing Foreman, Dalver works alongside the crew to help keep projects on track and running smoothly. He does his best to make sure jobs are finished on time, within budget, and that everyone on the team feels supported. Clear communication is important to him, especially when it comes to homeowners—he takes the time to explain the process, answer questions, and make sure people feel confident about the work being done.

Outside of work, Dalver enjoys off-roading with his buddy Adelso, challenging himself at the gym, or being by the pool when he gets the chance.

As Waterproofing Foreman at Basements Plus, Josh brings extensive hands-on experience & leadership to the DBP team. He specializes in tackling challenging tasks, from breaking up concrete for waterproofing system installations to installing sump pumps, addressing basement leaks, and reinforcing cracked foundations. With a strong background in the field, Josh not only leads crews but also trains team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to protect homes and keep basements dry year-round.

With years of experience in waterproofing, Josh appreciates the opportunity to grow with Basements Plus and take on a leadership role within the DBP division. He finds great satisfaction in seeing a project through from start to finish, knowing his work provides homeowners with lasting peace of mind. When he’s not on the job, Josh likes to unwind by spending time outdoors and going camping with his son!

Malcom is a dedicated member of our hardworking waterproofing crew, tackling challenging projects like flooded basements, cracked foundations, concrete removal, and more.

Austin has proudly served as a Service Technician at Finished Basements Plus for the past 2 years. He finds great satisfaction in working with a talented team and helping customers enhance their homes, drawing on his extensive background in construction, logistics, and project management.

Meet Brooks, our resident office “paw-fessional” and Chief Nap Officer. Brooks joined the team with no prior experience, but he’s quickly become an indispensable part of the office—mostly for his exceptional skills in napping and snack begging. When he’s not napping in his favorite spot (which, conveniently, is wherever you’re about to sit), he’s busy testing out the best office treats and providing top-notch tail-wagging services.

Brooks is also the unofficial morale booster, ensuring every project is met with a wagging tail and a friendly face. His ultimate goal? To be promoted to “Head of Belly Rubs” and maybe get his own personal snack stash!

Zoey is the favorite around the office, and she knows it. Zoey loves to make new friends and isn’t shy to ask for a spot on your lap.

She likes to spend her day following around Steve or going office to office in search of treats and pets.

Zoey always puts a smile on the faces of staff and homeowners visiting the office.
