If water collects around your foundation or enters your basement, a properly designed sump pump system can help move that water out and away from your home.
Rust, mineral deposits or iron ochre buildup can interfere with sump pump components and drainage. Regular inspection and maintenance can help catch problems before they affect performance.
Grinding, rattling, humming or other new noises can signal a mechanical problem, debris in the system or a pump that is struggling to operate properly.
A pump that runs constantly or turns on and off frequently may be undersized, improperly adjusted or dealing with more water than the system can handle.
Water in your basement can mean the sump pump system is not keeping up, has failed or that water is entering from another source. The first step is finding out where the water is coming from.
Your primary sump pump cannot run during a power outage unless you have backup power. A battery backup pump provides added protection when storms and outages happen at the same time.
Most sump pump installations start between $2,000–$4,000. We carry a range of systems depending on what your home actually needs: a Battery Backup for peace of mind during power outages, a TripleSafe system for extra redundancy, or an UltraSump for higher-capacity pumping.
But sump pump solutions aren't one-size-fits-all. The cause, severity and what's driving the water in your basement are unique to your home. The only way to get a real number is to have a specialist take a look and tell you what's actually going on.
